Every spring the shoulders of Dalles Mountain put on a spectacular flower show, with fields of balsamroot and lupine painting the mountainside with vibrant purples and yellows. One of the best places to enjoy the show is the Columbia Hills Historical State Park, which has miles of trails snaking through the wildflowers in the Dalles Mountain Ranch trail system.
