To get there, take I-90 out over Snoqulamie Pass to Exit 80. Head left over the freeway following Bullfrog Road to SR 903. Follow 903 16.6 miles through Roslyn and along Cle Elum Lake to FR 4330 just beyond the Salmon La Sac guard station. Veer right, avoiding the campground and continuing onto the dirt and gravel FR 4330 for 12.3 miles to the end of the road and Deception Pass Trailhead (aka Tucquala Meadows Trailhead). Privy available. View Google Directions >>
From the trailhead, the Deception Pass Trail #1376 begins easily. Almost entirely flat, the first two miles will quickly disappear and you will soon find yourself standing on the quiet shores of Hyas Lake.

Continue down to the end of the lake, where the trail begins to climb toward Deception Pass, switchbacking up the mountainside for 1.3 miles to the signed junction with the Robin Lakes Trail 1376.1 at the 4.0-mile mark. Veer right and begin the mile-long, 1000ft climb to Tuck Lake.

The trickiest part of the hike is here, as trails seem to snake off in many different directions, making it difficult to follow. Work your way along Tuck’s lakeshore, aiming for the stream between Tuck and Tuck’s Pot. This approach will require you to climb up rocky bluffs and drop back down again, crossing the mass of logs piled at the lake’s outlet. Once across there will be a series of ups and downs until you leave Tuck Lake behind you and the trail begins its steep ascent.

The trail leads to a barren prominence above the lakes, and it’s here that you can see why some hikers refer to this area as the “Little Enchantments.” Head down to the lakes to do a little exploring, making sure to visit the furthest lake.
